A Lil’ Laughing Color
A Lil’ Laughing Color is a creative writing, comedy workshop which teaches participants joke writing and how to create life affirming comedy.
During this workshop participants will learn and practice a methodology for writing jokes, and use instructor, partner, and group feedback to strengthen their writing. This workshop shows participants that they are capable of creating entertaining media and stories that reflect and respect theirs and others' experiences.

Life affirming comedy (aka safe space comedy or anti-oppressive comedy) assumes our complexity; it is funny without making fun of people, particularly not making fun of already marginalized people or experiences. Life affirming comedy includes performances about things that bring us joy or affirm our lives and the lives of those we love.
